A visit to Katoomba in the stunning Blue Mountains of Australia is highly recommended, it is one of the most beautiful destinations I know. It has staggering scenery, bushwalks, quaint towns, friendly people, characters, festivals and so much more. To help you get the most of a trip I have some easy to follow pieces of advice for you to assist with your planning to ensure the Katoomba weather doesn’t distract you from getting the most of your time.
The Blue Mountains National Park is a World Heritage listed area thanks to the glorious eucalypt trees that you can see from many of the jaw dropping lookouts or enjoyed close up on one of the walking tracks that range from beginner to “you want me to walk down there?!” One of the most eye-catching facets of this area is the sheer sandstone cliffs that tower above the valleys and trees and you if you are down in the valleys. You really need to see them to believe them.
My favourite times of the year to get the best of Katoomba weather are Spring (September, October, November) & Autumn (March, April, May), you can get brilliant clear blue skies and the temperature is not too hot or too cold on average. The other seasons naturally posess nice features as well but overall for the consistency of the Katoomba weather my preference is Spring & Autumn.
No matter what time of the year you visit, there are some elementary tips, which you could follow to ensure you optimise your visit in Katoomba. These include: 1. The Katoomba weather can change unexpectedly; always have a few layer options for warmth and a rain jacket. 2. Have a look at the Katoomba weather on a relevant webpage and 3. Wear clothes appropriate for the actual temperature and have options for the expected high.
These are very simple suggestions but they will enable you to enjoy your stay without having to eat in to your holiday by scouring through the clothes shops for warm jackets or waterproof jackets.
